Folio 197: Consul Maynard to Lord Arlington. Trouble over two Tangier privateers. Dissensions at Court arising out of the Queen's anger with Antonio de Sousa de Macedo. Has received 30,000 cruzados for payment of the English troops, who still need more. All quiet on the frontiers but tension at Court now acute.
Date and place: 1667 Sept 3 NS Lisbon.
