Folio 159: Sir Robert Southwell to Lord Arlington. Thanks him for obtaining payment of his arrears and permission to return home via Tangier. Rumoured that a peace has been secretly concluded between France and England. Castelmelhor has received much less money from France than expected, so very unlikely any fleet will be sent to sea. Infante Dom Pedro urged to marry and his popularity rising as that of the (obviously impotent) King declines.
