Duke of Aveiro beheaded in statue as a traitor. Arrival of a Jesuit from Goa overland, with the Viceroy of Goa's excuses for not surrendering Bombay to the English. Hopes Secretary will confirm his nomination by the English auxiliary forces as their representative at the Portuguese Court.
