Description

Folio 95: Charles II to the Portuguese Ambassador. Authorizes the Crown of Portugal to grant the Dutch the same commercial privileges as the English, in view of the urgency of concluding peace with the States-General, but expects to be compensated for this complaisance in some other way.

Date and place: 1662 June 4 Hampton Court.
