Folio 57. The delegates to the convention of the six 'upper circles at Frankfurt assembled, to Leopold I. Refer to the Emperor's positive rescript of Dec 3 to the elector of Mayence's missive of Nov 2, 1696 (see ff.52 and 54) of which they have notified their principals and express their thanks and appreciation. Report on progress in their deliberations to date. Will submit their final recess which is now 'in der expedition' [i.e. in preparation] through the imperial resident [at Mayence] Louis Gustave count Hohenlohe [-Schillingsfürst] with whom they have been in close communication. Ask for further support of their endeavours. Endorsed by Stepney. Headed 'dict[atum] Franckfurth 3i Januarij styl: novi 1697'.
