Folio 37. Collateral Recess of the six 'upper' circles at Frankfurt assembled, granting the circles of Lower Rhine and Upper Rhine, 'enervated ('enerviret') by improvising camps, passages of, and foraging by, troops during the last campaign, upon their representations, reduction of their respective contingents, as follows: Lower Rhine, from 9921, according to the Ratisbon repartition of 1681, to 7,000; Upper Rhine, from 10,032, according to the same repartition, to 5,000, in war; in peace, the contingents are to revert to the strength prescribed by the apportionment to be decided upon by virtue of art. 3 of the 'main' recess; contingents to consist of two thirds infantry and one third cavalry.
