Folio 99. From Blathwayt. He has laid before the King what Stepney wrote about the danger of the Margrave of Baden's being recalled from the Rhine. By King's orders, Stepney is to make earnest representations to the court of Vienna that the margrave be left in command on the Rhine with full powers for the whole duration of the campaign. PS.: 'The circle of Franconia have written an earnest letter to His Majty for his interposition in their behalf, representing all things amongst them as desperate without it'.
