Folio 177. To Stratford jun. [i.e. Francis Stratford's nephew and associate]. The secretary having passed Stepney's bill of extraordinaries, there is now 'a tolerable good sum lying ready at the treasury'. Does not object to the balance of his account with Stratford. - Mentions an epigram he has sent 'this post' to Sir Paul [Rycaut] 'upon the French offering the Spanish Netherlands to the elector of Bavaria'.
