Folio 143. To [Ezechiel] Spanheim [successively Palatine and Brandenburg diplomat]. Regrets that he will be unable to show his civilities to the Scottish lord ('Mylord Ecossois') recommended to him by Spanheim, as the nobleman's route will not include Vienna. - Since his last letter to Spanheim, affairs in Hungary have much changed and peace which, to all appearances, was to ensue then, is far more remote than last winter. - He is about to leave Vienna for Dresden to continue and complete, the business begun there by the late Sir William Colt. [Corrected draft].
