Folio 136v. To Consbruch. Commends the patriotism of Consbruch and of Leibniz. - Does not wish to name anyone in particular but finds the court of Dresden less than edifying. - The elector is in deep mourning for the late countess [Rochlitz] and is making everyone else at court do likewise. - Dresden hopes the imperial court will pay over the remaining two thirds of the 50,000 écus [subsidies] promised and trusts that England and the States will insist this be done. He, Stepney, and Ham have twice sought to reassure the elector on this point. [Draft].
