Folio 11v. Extract of a letter to an unnamed recipient from whom he, Stepney, wishes to dissociate himself on account of the correspondent's seemingly declared intention to go to 'F' [? France], looked upon by Stepney as 'nonsense or a banter'. 'If you are caught you hang, if you arrive you starve'. Will write him no further unless he hears of a change of resolution.
