Folio 11. To Bruynincx. Arrival at Dresden. Missed by two hours the elector who had gone hunting and will afterwards go to the Leipzig fair where he, Stepney [following the elector], hopes to meet Boineburg and Ham. - Charleroi holds out, but the fortifications of Ratzeburg will, it appears, soon be demolished. This he gathered from a courier he met on his way and who carried dispatches for [Johann Christoph von] Limbach and [Hans Kaspar von Bothmer [respectively Hanoverian legation councillor and envoy extraordinary of Celle, temporarily also acting for Hanover, at Vienna]. Gathers from Hamburg gazettes that the King has nominated [James] Cresset '(qui était le secretaire de Mylord Lexington)' envoy to the princes of the house of [Brunswick-] Lüneburg. - Remainder private and personal, e.g. remembers 'la louable societé des fumeurs, j'entends M[es]srs. Consbruck, Ehrenberg [Ehrenschildt] et Nesselroth [Nesselrode] ...'.
