Folio 9v. To Vernon. Acknowledges letters of July 25 and 28. Records his gratitude to him and to Blathwayt for the 'quick dispatch' they have given his extraordinaries. Encloses copy of what he has written to Blathwayt by the same post. Believes that many of such 'victories' as the French report will lead to their ruin.
