Folio 81v. [?] Enclosure: Nottingham to [Hamel] Bruynincx. Has read his letters of Dec 24, 27 and 31 [1692] to the King who has commanded him to say that he expects the margrave of Baden to command on the Rhine and affirms his plans as far as he can. He will leavethe matter in the hands of count Strattmann jun., through whose father's good offices the margrave will succeed in his wishes, in the public interest. The King has, this evening, also written to the Pensionary [Heinsius] regarding Bruynincx's propositions on behalf of the margrave, so that the States can take the most appropriate steps of which Bruynincx will receive due notice.
