Folio 89. To Mme Schellendorff (see f.87v, ante.). [Sic, Ms]. Refers to two letters he had written her from Karlsbad from which she will have seen what little effect his 'instances' on her brother's behalf had on the elector. Hopes that the latter will not, at the instigation of her brother's enemy who must know that Friesen is actually in the King's service, take vengeance on her brother's person or his estate, but he has warned him to be on his guard and that he will write on his behalf to Lexington and Haxthausen. In future, she is to address her letters to her brother c/o Mr Prim at Frankfurt.
