Folio 83. To [Blathwayt]. Similar to f.80, ante, but going into more detail regarding his absolute preference for Vienna after surmising that Prior may have his eye on Ratisbon now that [Edward viscount] Villiers [later earl of Jersey], might 'thrust' him out of the Hague. But he points out, despite his affection for Prior, that the job was first offered to himself and he thinks it but reasonable that 'his child should be first christened'. P.S.: 'Just as I am closing this letter, I have received one from my lord Lexington of the 18th instant [s.n.] which are in a PS these ['this', Ms] words, I have received an answer from Mr Blathwayt to which I have replyd; so that 'tis not absolutely resolv'd you shall not come [Underlined, Ms] which quite changes the state of the case & wou'd have made me suppress this letter, if ... [ends abruptly]. Holograph, inscribed 'This letter was never sent'.
