Folio 75v. To Blathwayt. The elector is 'continually in frolicks and debauches. I am ashamed to speak of them, but certainly no prince (who ought to preserve respect in his subjects) was ever guilty of such publick follyes'. Schöning 'begins to find himself warm, as the snake did in Aesop & will shortly move and sting'. He, Stepney, is 'assured all dispatches that come from the army are communicated to him and his advice is ask'd thereupon'. The court is 'in such disorder that it is impossible for any man to make a true judgment how things will go & who will be uppermost...'.
