Folio 30v. To Blathways. Acknowledges letters of June 11/21 and 13/23. Hopes the King will have seen by 33,333 rixdollars which Ham and he, Stepney, have saved 'that wee are not too liberal with our masters purse'. Encloses copies of the States' ratification of thetreaties concluded by Ham, just received. Count Reuss will shortly join the army commanded by margrave Louis, which reportedly has forced the French to repass the Rhine. Friesen, too, is about to leave for the field.
