Description

HGC, on the Earl Marischal's visit to Edinburgh; also describing William Mitchell, who carries Jacobite letters between Scotland and Urbino, as "a man pretending to be foolish or rather lunatic but in reality free of both: he is a close and artful designing villain and does more mischief than any one man of his station in Scotland",
