Description

James Cockburn to Pringle. On the lieutenancy of Blackness Castle: Argyll would like it for Napier or Stewart of Ardvorlich who has been of great service; the rebel prisoners have given Argyll news of the Dutch troops and he will endeavour to find the source of their information
