Considering where the blame for the rebellion can be laid; reporting his lack of troops; and on intelligence that the clans and Mar's force from Perth have joined at Auchterarder; also asking for instructions concerning a letter which he received from Mar on the treatment of rebel prisoners; and reporting that the militia has been together for 40 days and so legally should be disbanded
