Argyll to Townshend. Reporting that he is so greatly outnumbered he despairs of stopping the rebels, and asks that he be replaced as commander of the army, since it seems only then will reinforcements be sent. Money sent to Atholl has been intercepted byTullibardine, and although Argyll finds this suspicious he has sent £100 more "lest he should take the pretence of want to deliver up his castle"
