Folio 406: Sir William Strickland to the Duke of Newcastle, has ordered Brigadier Newton and Colonel Hayes, and all their officers now in Britain, to join their Regiments in Gibraltar and be ready to go to Jamaica as soon as possible, requests orders for provisionsand suitable accommodation for the passage. Gives information as to the strength of the Regiments and requests a decision on how they are to be provisioned when first in Jamaica.
