Folio 125: Wich to Carteret. A month ago I informed you that I ought to go to Moscow and the necessity is still apparent. Repeated advices from dependable sources say Czarina has no intention of returning here before winter. Will now go to Moscow and will set out when roads are tolerable. Await commands and implicit instructions as soon as possible. Coronation tomorrow and magnificent celebrations here. Guards unruly lately which may prove dangerous. Dated St Petersburg, 24 April 1742.
