Folio 123: Carteret to Wich. Sending despatch with copies of letters containing important intelligence to interest of Czarina. Communicate contents immediately to the two Bestuzev's and Lestock for her information, the truth of which is entirely reliable. If Russian court still in Moscow, go there immediately to impart this but do not give it in writing and desire it should be kept secret. Of the two Bestuzev's HM thinks the Grand Marshal most to be relied on. Dated Whitehall, 14 May 1742.
