Folio 34: Harrington to Wich. HM expects Finch to have departed from Russia and desires your immediate setting out for St Petersburg. This despatch delayed awaiting information from Finch regarding our late Treaty. Exert yourself to discover views of that countabout their war with Sweden and that in Empire. Send early reports and thwart anything prejudicial to HM's interests. Try to recover Czarina from French management. Dated Whitehall, 29 Jan 1742.
