Folio 38: Finch to Newcastle. Baron Munich the Privy Counsellor was yesterday with de la Chetardie which appears that his audience is not yet settled. Am making sure that nothing given as preference to France is incompatible to crown of Great Britain. Great council of war held at Field Marshal Count Lacey's house, Prince of Hesse Homburg, General Keith and others assisted. Dutch ship reports seeing 6 Swedish men of war off Gotland, and then 6 others at Dagarnoort. Another reports same of Kokschaar. De la Chetardie proposes visit to Kronstadt, as do Botta, Wilazek and myself, but we desire to hear no complaints if he gets less honours than he expects.
