Folio 136: Finch to Harrington. Total revolution in court here. Princess Elizabeth universally loved and adored in this country accompanied by Vorouozov. Lestock and Swartz put herself at the head of 300 Grenadiers and seized the Regent, the Generalissimo and theirtwo children and Julia Mengden and sent them to her house. Account of others arrested. Thereafter the princess was declared Sovereign of Russia and oath taken. Then she sent for Diedron and despatched him to Sweden to notify her accession. Trubetzkoi came with me with notification compliment. My reply. de la Chetardi was desired to dispatch courier to Stockholm to proclaim her accession hoping for immediate peace. Keith given orders to cease hostilities. Field Marshal Munnich, Count Osterman and Baron Mengden carried to the Citadel. Prince Lewis removed to late general Biron's house. Fate of others listed.
