Folio 94: Harrington to Finch. Any reports abroad regarding Spanish Embarkation to Italy and English Navy did not deliberately allow this to be put in true light and it was not due to connivance or promise of HM to France. The act of Neutrality for his Hanover dominions has no connection with English affairs, and HM entirely free to act in any manner he pleases, and will so to annoyance and detriment of Spain and to aid Queen of Hungary and confute the invasion of her dominions in Italy. Speedy return of a Sir John Norris and his squadron was no sooner than his stay out was intended. Dated Whitehall, 24 Nov 1741.
