Folio 58: Finch to Harrington. News yesterday of General Keith's irregulars harrassing Swedes and killing one third of their party. Persian ambassador here. Count Lynar met a French man at Memel called Delmene who said he was an old aquaintance of de la Chetardie but he has not lodged with him. His month-old passport dated at Versailles makes people suspect he is here on business of that Court and not out of private friendship. Nearly all Swedish prisoners have departed for Moscow. Intended manifesto of Lowenhaupt must convince unbelievers of truth of HM's intelligence. Count Osterman's three hour audience with Great Duchess and Generalissimo is imputed to it. Dated St Petersburg, 26 Sept 1741.
