Description

Folio 130: Finch to Harrington. Pleasure at choice of my successor but delay of Sir Cyril Wich arriving will be determined to my health yet I would not wish to depart without him being here. Great Duchess Regent gave birth to a princess, named Catherina on 15 July.Generalissimo informed by guns of the Citadel and Admiralty as well as an Express. Accounts of troops deployed and visit to Osterman, and further appointment made for discussion on despatches. Dated St Petersburg, 18 July 1741.
