Description

Folio 210: Finch to Harrington. If my commission is finished to HM's satisfaction, I flatter myself he will send me my recall. Await letter delivered to Count Osterman from king of Prussia to transmit to you. Fleet at Kronstadt nearly ready to be hauled into the roads. 24 battalions marching from other side of the country in 12 columns of 2 battalions each. Troops in Livonia and those to rendezvous at Pleszow will amount to 30 battalions. Account of de la Chetardie's deferment of his departure until the end of summer. Dated St Petersburg 30 May 1741.
