Folio 174: Rondeau to Harrington. News from Poland confirming change at the Porte. French intend to send 4 men of war this summer to the Baltic, solely it is supposed, to encourage the Violent party in Sweden against Russia. Osterman added he had heard of a party in Sweden wanting to depose the king, and not improbable they might settle the crown on a French prince if the succession was not first settled. A man of war of 100 guns, one of 64, three of 54 and 2 frigates of 32 guns being fitted out at Kronstadt.
