Folio 133: Rondeau to Harrington. Found when acquainting Count Osterman of birth of new prince and the new orders for Fawkener at Constantinople, that he was unaware of Vienna's request, but said he would be happy if a way could be found to mend matters with the Turks. The duke of Courland has said without scruple that he cannot believe the French really wanted to end the war with the Porte, but rather lengthen it in order to weaken the Emperor. Wedding of princess with prince of Bevern to be solemnised in June. Baron Crame is coming from Wolfenbuttel formally to demand the princess. Dated StPetersburg, 14 Apr 1739.
