Folio 81: Harrington to Rondeau. In answer to your queries (f.77), territories include all HM's dominions; secondly, the exception of Poland reasonable as Czarina unlikely to be attacked by her; thirdly, as to where troops must be sent is impossible to answer atthis distance; fourthly, HM would send vessels for transportation of troops if Czarina would be in difficulties; fifthly, HM will take some dragoons if indispensably necessary for the convenience of the march; sixthly, the number of men of war to be left for the Czarina's requirements. HM informs Russian ministry in confidence that intelligences show France equipping 4 or 5 men of war at Brest for the Baltic, supposedly to support the Swedes and join with a larger squadron of Swedish ships. Dated Whitehall, 13 Apr 1739.
