Folio 75: Rondeau to Harrington. Kuoni, the messenger, has taken only 17 days on his journey here, delivering 3 letters, the project for a defensive treaty and a full power for signing and concluding it. Duke of Courland and Count Osterman informed immediately of Kuoni's arrival. Osterman is arranging translation of the project. Agreement that messenger was ostensibly sent by HM about the affair of Steinhorst to thank the Czarina for her help in that matter in order for the project to be concealed. Letter enclosing late convention concluded with Spain arrived and will be used at right opportunity. Latest information on million roubles for Emperor is not confirmed, but it is said he needs not money but troops. Dated StPetersburg, 10 Mar 1738/9.
