Folio 240: Rondeau to Harrington. Advice from Vienna that Field Marshal Count Seckendorf is arrested and it is rumoured will be accused of high treason. All ill-success of Emperor's affairs laid at his charge. This way Vienna will try to persuade the world, and Russia in particular, it is his fault that Vienna has not attacked the Turks as effectively as hoped. This court informed of emissary sent by French king to Constantinople to arrange a separate peace between the Grand Seigneur and the Emperor. Russia has no fear that Vienna will make peace without her. Dated St Petersburg 12 Nov 1737.
