Folio 230: Rondeau to Harrington. Plenipotentiaries have quit congress at Nemirow. Turks are returning home, Germans staying at Lemberg and Russians at Kiev until orders received from respective courts. Russia and Vienna disappointed, as they both thought to see anend to war this winter. HM to have communication concerning justness of Czarina's demands at Nemirow. Informed by de Suhm, the Saxon envoy, that Russia is trying to persuade the Polish king to break with the Porte. HM should try to prevent this, for if war with the Turks continues all our friends will be engaged in it and our enemies will have a fine opportunity to do what they will. Dated St Petersburg 29 Oct 1737.
