Folio 54: Rondeau to Harrington. Field-Marshal Count Munnich ordered to return to Poland to command Russian troops. King Augustus uninformed of this alteration in command. Munnich informed Czarina that after rapid settlement of tranquility in Poland he could march with 30,000-40,000 men to Germany where he would compel the elector of Bavaria to take steps to prevent the Emperor from joining with the French. Czarina's reply not known but doubtful that Russia would assist Emperor without knowing if HM will help him as well. If Czarina found HM willing to aid Vienna she would immediately send Emperor 30,000 of her best troops. Dated St Petersburg 15 Feb 1734/5.
