Folio 52: Rondeau to Harrington. L'Estang departed. Reports from Warsaw that palatines of Kiev and Lublin, the Counts Potocki and Tarlo, have made proposals to King Augustus to surrender. Being the principals in King Stanislaus's party, their submission would persuade lesser protagonists to follow suit. King of Prussia is secretly trying to prevent this, but with no subsidies from France for more than 3 months King Stanislaus will soon be abandoned. Czarina remits last half year's poll-tax amounting to about 2½ million roubles. Dated St Petersburg 8 Feb 1734/5.
