Folio 139: Forbes and Rondeau to Harrington. Opposing party in Poland increasing in number and animosity. Danzig defence firm. Russia thinks that she does all and king Augustus does nothing for himself and that he should not have left Poland at this time. Fears ofFrench squadron arriving at Danzig and of what Sweden may try. Nothing will be done until affairs of Danzig resolved, when Russia may withdraw as no others will join her. HM's influence will largely sway this court. This court dissatisfied with 3 evasive answers brought back by Mardefeld. Orders given by Munnich regarding freedom desired by Eastland merchants. News of Russian troops separated from Danzig under general Lacy, who have beaten and killed Count Tarlo, palatine of Lublin. Dated St Petersburg 20 Apr 1734.
