Folio 33: Harrington to Forbes and Rondeau. Reply to f.28. Report expected from Commissioners of Trade. Slow progress but it makes noise in the world as if treaty already concluded. Letters for Lord Forbes's revocation being prepared. HM intends to employ him in the navy and therefore he may put affairs in order to leave Russia. HM wishes to know of arrival of Persian ambassador and of any proposals he makes. He hopes Czarina will not embroil herself in any new war on behalf of the Turks, while involved in Poland. 3,000 roubles given to Mardefeld, as the king of Prussia was displeased at his commission, instigated entirely by Russia. Dated Whitehall, 1 Mar 1733/4.
