Folio 38: Rondeau to Harrington. Account of reception of Prince of Bevern. No way of preventing the marriage which will not please King George. Prince looks only 14 years old, and Czarina will probably postpone date of wedding. On every occasion this ministry will be urged to think about another husband for the Princess. Heirs needed for the succession. Counts Seckendorff and Löwenwolde have had a hand in the Prince's journey here and taken much trouble to ease the Prussian King's mind about that matter, for he had great hopes, given him by Baron Mardefeld, that one of his family would be chosen. Löwenwolde and Seckendorff have dissuaded King of Prussia from thinking further of Prince of Brandenburg succeeding Duke of Courland. Count Biron secretly wishes to be elected, which would be a considerable gain for him. Sorry Löwenwolde going to Poland. No hope of learning about negotiations at Vienna and Berlin now. Dated St Petersburg, 6 Mar 1733.
