Folio 69: Rondeau to Harrington. Czarina returning province of Guilan to Sophy. Keeping Baku Derbent and St.Croix, all 3 fortified on the Caspian Sea. 10,000 men reported lost in Guilan since in the possession of Russia due to hot climate alone, and everyone glad it has been relinquished. Russia is to have freedom to trade throughout Persia without payment of customs and also to send caravans through Persia to India. This privilege granted by treaty with Sultan Eschereff. Lord Duffus died 2 April. Rear-Admiral in this service and Governor of Kronstadt. Dated StPetersburg, 11 Apr 1732.
