Czarina thought to be piqued as match designed for him with young duchess of Mecklenburg. Sophy made new peace proposals after Turks beat Persians at Ardebil-Tauris likely to accept if Tauris and Ardebil could be kept. Russia will never consent to them remaining masters of those towns. Vienna will remonstrate at Constantinople as neither the Emperor nor Czarina would allow the Sophy to be so reduced. Dated StPetersburg, 18 Mar 1732.
