Folio 127: Rondeau to Townshend. Suggestion that Ward remain as consul very apposite as new contract recently made for potash, rhubarb, etc; in return, in time, for English cloth. As the consul thinks the above contract disqualifies him from accepting position of resident, please give that character to me. Dated Moscow, 15 June 1730.
