Folio 13: Ward to Townshend. Contrary to expectation the Czar died this morning. Please procure me a new commission. The successor is Dowager Duchess of Courland. She is second daughter of Czar Ivan, the elder brother of Czar Peter I. Her name is Anna Ivanowna. Dated Moscow, 19 Jan 1729.
