Folio 220: Jefferyes to Craggs. Your information that this court is wrong in confining our merchants here will be conveyed to Baron Safirov when occasion arises. The latest news of the Czar and the fleet, if true, seems that he has passed the Rubicon for the second time needing either to conquer his enemy or lose the greater part of his army. Two previous examples of disaster should prevent the Czar from undertaking such dangerous enterprises without being sure of success. Dated Revel, 23 July 1719.
