Folio 108: MacKenzie to Townshend. On the 30 Nov. the Czar gave to General Wedd, and later to officers and soldiers of the First Regiment of Guards, the medals of the Patron Saint St. Andrew. On Wednesday, the Czar played carpenter in his own shipyard. Most of the Governors throughout Russia sent for to answer charges of the malversations even Naryskin is expected. There follows all that is public of excursions made between ports covering approximately 85 miles. On Thursday the Czar and his consort and several of the court assisted at the Christening of the child of Mr. Brown one of the English Master Builders. Bad weather. All British merchant ships returned to Kronslot to pass the Winter. Dated St Petersburg, 3 Dec 1714.
