Folio 103: MacKenzie to Townshend. Last Saturday one of Prince Menshikoffs' frigates on this river close to St Petersburg and in view of this town, full of furniture and other similar merchandises, was set on fire by the sailors inadvertently, they having had a little drink: The vessel and cargo was soon reduced to cinders. Yesterday and today the Czar has the accustomed pleasure of wishing those of first distinction the seasons good wishes. Dated St Petersburg, 27 Dec 1714.
